Having embodied the motto of Rise and Strike throughout school, football, and life, a 2002 graduate of Shannon High School who went on to have a great career of college football, with stops at Mississippi State University, Itawamba Community College, and Murray State University. Graduating with an associate degree from ICC (04’) and the receiving a bachelor's degree from the Mississippi State University (08’), during what he thought would be a journey of destiny to the NFL. However, the gap between those years would be life changing, as encountered an injury that would cause the end to his college football career, of which he started a downward spiral. The battles of this world would cause a pit of depression and anxiety to sit in because football and success was all that he knew. The year of 2006, God stepped in and picked him up out of that pit and begin to guide him into a new direction that he never envisioned. God changed his heart to pursue the field of Teaching and Coaching and has stayed beside him throughout his career. It was during this time that he met his wife, and their journey began. He was able to get his master’s degree from Arkansas State University (13’). With God still directing his path, he’s been allowed him to birth new relationships through the style of ministry he used as he embarked on the journey in coaching and administration. A unique style of coaching which was great at bringing out the best of those he encountered, by being transparent, open, honest, and humble. This developed into speaking engagements and God leading him to the pulpit to further deliver his word. Through his obedience, God has blessed him with several ministries where he operates in servanthood leadership. Those ministries include, From the Valley to Top Ministries Inc., Toppdawg3.14 Barbecue, TD3.14 Properties, and TD3.14 Passing and Training Academy. Through these ministries, God has allowed him to use the gifts that he was blessed with to serve others. All to the Glory of God! He is married to Dr. Kenya Topps and is the father of two wonderful children: Ken II (Deuce) and Rhylee.  Mr. Ken Topps is prepared to allow God to minister through him for his glory to help anyway possible, kingdom seeking through the Valley!
